Pet Mini Sessions to Benefit Bristol Charity

Do you have a special furry friend that warms your heart and those around you? I know only too well the power of animals... their unconditional love, their ability to heal.

Wonder Kids Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc. is a unique non-profit organization that also believes in the power of animals to heal. A therapeutic riding center for children with physical and emotional disabilities, Wonder Kids offers a non-traditional form of therapeutic equine-assisted treatment to facilitate a safe, effective, and fun learning environment.

Children and animals together? Does it get any better? But this program has no shortage of costs, including feed, maintenance, and expensive veterinary care for the horses. Bubbles, the oldest horse and most easily accessible to children nervous around animals, is ailing and desperately in need of some pricey medical treatment.

So how can you help?

MINI PET PHOTO SESSIONS - In the last few years, we have had to let go of two dear, furry friends. The hole in my heart still remains. But every time I glance at their wonderfully happy faces preserved through my photography on my mantle and bookcases, I can't help but smile and feel their endless love envelope me. Yes, bless my bleeding heart, I STILL love those wonderful, messy, ever vigilant, ever devoted dogs. I am so thankful I decided to point my camera in their faces as often as I did.

If you're NOT as camera happy as I am, you're in luck!  On April 7th, I will be doing pet mini-sessions at the Wonder Kids facility. A rustic barn,grassy pasture, horses in the background, and your beloved pet...doesn't it sound perfect? :) Even better, ALL proceeds will go directly to Wonder Kids to help pay for the care of those dear, sweet horses so that they can continue to help children.

Live Bunny Mini-Session for Easter

It's almost time for BUNNY PORTRAITS again!  Easter comes a little bit earlier this year, so don't let the time get away from you. Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 17th and Sunday March 24th. These sessions will take place outdoors at Fern Valley Farm in Bristol, VA...think wooden porch, grass, Easter baskets, eggs, jelly beans, a wagon, rocking chairs, and of course... BUNNIES!

These are MINI-sessions and involve approximately 15 minutes of photography time.  At least 5-7 proofs of your session will be available to view in an online gallery on Facebook (you do not need an account to view these) by Tuesday, March 26th. Then, you choose your favorite images to complete your digital and print package.

Available times: Sunday, March 17th and Sunday March 24th from 3-6PM

The $60 session fee (plus tax) includes one 8x10 and three digital images.  Digital images will be emailed by Friday, March 29th. Prints may be picked up at Bella Mia Images.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• Will I be able to view ALL of the images from the session? Yes. I will place 5-7 proofs online, but there are almost always additional images from the session. And since your favorites might differ from mine, I encourage you to set up a private viewing session with me at no extra charge. This will also give you the chance to discuss editing and design options available to you for collages, cards, books, etc. Again, this session is free and very worthwhile to get the most personalized results from your session.  
• Can I purchase additional prints? Yes, you can purchase additional prints, albums, mini-albums, cards, collages, etc. Please click the "Products" tab for a full list of available products and pricing information. You will also receive a 10% discount on all products related to this session if ordered within 30 days.
• Can I purchase additional digital images? Yes, digital images are $10 each or $75 for 10. 
• Is there a minimum purchase requirement after my session? No. You are not obligated to purchase any additional, prints, images, or other products.  
• Is this session only for one child or can siblings be included in the same session? There is no official maximum for the session. So yes, siblings are certainly welcome to be photographed together, individually, or both...it's your choice.  However, please consider that the session lasts approximately 15 minutes. Generally, the more subjects in the photograph (and the younger they are), the more difficult and time consuming the shot may be.  Basically, it's harder to get 3 kids to look at the same time than it is to get one child to smile for the camera. That being said, you have me for the allotted time and I will attempt to get as many of the shots you would like as possible. If you feel that you need extra time or want additional images/prints, you might consider booking two back-to-back sessions instead of one. 

THINGS TO CONSIDER

• Easter outfits are encouraged but not required.  Beautiful outfits help make beautiful pictures. On the other hand, a simple pair of overalls and a precious hat can be just as adorable (see my son Aiden's pic above :).  Please keep in mind that we will be at a working farm. We will be working with live animals. We will be outside. I cannot guarantee that the bunnies won't have an "accident" or that your child won't step in mud at some point. Due to the sometimes sharp toenails on the rabbits, they will be placed in baskets and/or on fabric to avoid any accidental scratches or other incidents. Clothes generally clean up easy but I will have towels, wipes, and sanitizer on hand just in case.
• I will have several Easter themed props available (eggs, baskets, etc.), but you are encouraged to bring anything you'd like to use during the session.  I will gladly incorporate personal Easter baskets, hats, or other props into the pictures.
• These sessions are for bunny shoots only. No other portraits (i.e. head shots, spring portraits, family sessions, etc.) will be shot during this session. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
• Again, I want to stress that we will be shooting outside.  Please dress appropriately for the weather that day. It is quite difficult to get a good shot if the poor child's lips won't stop chattering :(
• Please arrive 15 minutes early to get your child acclimated to the surroundings. I assure you, with all of the animals at Fern Valley, they will have no trouble finding something to look at if you have to wait a few extra minutes :)
• If your child has any allergies, please let me know this when you book your session.
